Getting braces isn’t what it used to be. Today’s options range from colorfully cool, to nearly invisible. The choice is yours and you don’t have to come up with the answers alone. Our orthodontists are experts in helping you find your perfect match. So set up a time to talk about your options. Until then, here’s a quick overview of the different types of braces available.
Traditional Metal Braces
Many adults still have painful memories of the big clunky braces from the past. Luckily, times have changed, and so have metal braces. Modern braces are smaller and more comfortable than ever before with low profiles and strong adhesives.
Ceramic Braces
Clear braces are made of a ceramic material. They are most popular with adult patients and older teens because they offer better aesthetics than traditional braces. The ceramic brackets blend in with the teeth, making them less noticeable than metal braces.
Invisalign
Invisalign consists of a series of customized, clear BPA-free plastic tray aligners that are removable and typically replaced every 2 weeks to keep your teeth moving in the desired direction.
